"Vila Isabel"
(Inspired by the Vila Isabel Samba School, Rio de Janeiro, Brasil)
THIS is a "one-of-a-kind" very rare piece indeed. This is a sign sample that was not painted correctly. The factory painted blue paint as an undercoat before applying the silver glitter. (It is supposed to have white paint.) At any rate I took this as an opportunity to decorate this piece in the colors that the Vila Isabel Samba School is known for (but not limited to.) I stitched the sleeves, gave her golden rod arm bands and just the right amount of glitter and matching feathers. This is a gorgeous piece. And YES, some of the Samba Queens actually dress in costumes like this!!
