Artist Biography Spencer Davis was born in Los Angeles in
1972. By age one he’d been whisked away and transplanted onto a small farm in Hillsboro
Oregon where he was raised through high school. Spencer discovered a love
of drawing at a young age and spent much of his idle time doing this and
building jumps for his B.M.X. bike out of dirt and old plywood. Upon
graduating high school he moved to Seattle
Washington to experience city life and earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Industrial Design from the University of
Washington. In 1996 he returned to Los Angeles to further pollute his mind
and take employment in the toy
industry. His artistic influences include Legos, Star Wars Action figures,
National Geographic, Conan the Barbarian, Vogue Magazine, Otomo Katsuhiro, Frank
Frazetta, Barbie, Robert Williams, Frank Kozik, the phenomenon that is Coop, and
Black Tail Magazine. (In that order.)
